How it Works

Content in GreenPlay™ format can be quickly downloaded from Download2Go kiosks to Secure Digital (SD) memory cards. GreenPlay is a new, high-quality digital video format that is based on industry standard CPRM for SD-SD Video and endorsed by Hollywood content providers. It enables consumers to download entertainment content from self-service kiosks and play it on any Windows PC or any consumer electronics device that has a secure SD memory card reader and GreenPlay-compatible firmware.

MOD Systems is working with many manufacturers who are currently adding these hardware and software upgrades to their devices. High Quality Playback, No Internet Needed

Everything needed for playback is automatically included with the downloaded content on the SD card. When the content is downloaded to the SD card at the kiosk, it puts the keys to unlock the video files in the secure area of the card so your customers don’t have to be connected to the Internet to enjoy their selections.

Because the video plays directly from the card, there are no buffering delays typical of streaming content from the Internet. The playback experience is excellent (in fact, it’s as good as, or better, than DVD quality), with vivid, full-screen playback.
